Time with our physicians has become extremely limited.  We’re fortunate if our appointments last 10-15 minutes.  It’s time to become our own healthcare advocates by preparing for medical appointments.  Take a list of current medications, write down issues before the appointment so that you don’t forget to mention or ask a question.  Many people think their physician is absolute in their knowledge, however if you don’t give the proper knowledge, it’s impossible for the physician to do his or her job.
