Considering a move for yourself or for a family member to an independent or assisted living facility?  The healthier you are the easier the move.  Moving becomes more difficult as we age.  And looking at moving to a care community can be shocking when it comes to the size of the accommodations.  The accommodations of many assisted living apartments are about 400 sq ft. The goal of these communities are not that you stay in your room, but that you become involved in activities, meet people and spend most of your time outside of your room.  For some this sounds like a great idea, for others who have not been social during their lives, the idea of moving to such a community is unappealing.
