Pamela D. Wilson Caregiving Speaker
This video features Pamela as a caregiving speaker for the Denver Bar Association Elder Law Retreat.
Pamela D. Wilson is a caregiving expert, caregiving advocate, and caregiving speaker. Her down to earth and humorous approach sets family caregiver and professional audiences at ease about caregiving issues and strategies. Experiencing the loss of both parents, a brother, and a sister by the age of forty, Pamela has authentic life experience that mirror the experiences of family caregivers. With more than twenty years of professional experience as a business owner in the areas of caregiving, health care, and as a professional fiduciary, her expertise provides real solutions.
Previously serving in the roles of court appointed guardian, medical and financial power of attorney, personal representative and care manager she solves problems and identifies options. Support for family caregivers and family care recipients is offered through programming that includes access to an online library and opportunities to participate in and subscribe to online caregiver support programs. Pamela is a tireless caregiving advocate who believes that higher standards of care are possible and necessary.
For professionals working in the healthcare, legal, and financial specialties she consults on the “dark side” of caregiving. This is the unexpected world of daily challenges faced by family caregivers and care recipients. Substandard quality of care, medical errors, dysfunctional family situations, family conflict, professional boundaries by healthcare and care providers, aging parents and entitled children, battles over guardianship or powers of attorney, contested court hearings—the list of caregiving issues and family conflicts is never-ending.
Pamela has been featured in media outlets including U.S. News and World Report, Fox News, Doctor Radio, Life & Health Advisor, My Social Good News, Provider Nation, Radio MD, Third Age, Wholistic Woman, WRNJ Radio, Rewire Me, Intrepid Radio, Late Night Parents and others.
From 2009 to 2011 she produced and hosted The Caring Generation® on 630 KHOW-AM Denver sharing practical advice for family caregivers and interviewing professionals in the caregiving industries. Her book, The Caregiving Trap: Solutions for Life’s Unexpected Changes® provides practical tips and advice for family caregivers.

Pamela – I just wanted to tell you that I loved your talk yesterday at the Association of Professional Women. Very inspiring. Kristin Sullivan, Certified Financial Planner
It has been a pleasure working with Pamela.
She is very easy to work with and professional and well organized. This is all secondary though to her fantastic skills and knowledge of caregiving skills. During the presentation, she was very engaging and caring and took extra time and care to address each of the attendee’s concerns and needs. The BUMC Mental Health Team
